Overview
This Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all Yoga Kawa events and services except our Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) program, which is governed by its own separate YTT Refund Policy. Corporate and condo yoga programs are governed by the terms of the applicable service agreement.
This policy covers:
- Animal-assisted yoga classes (puppy yoga, kitten yoga, goat yoga, bunny yoga)
- Sound bath sessions
- Birthday parties
- Private and group events
- Gift cards
By completing a booking on yogakawa.com, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out below. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. All Tickets Are Final Sale
All tickets and bookings are final sale. Each class and event is carefully curated with limited capacity, and spots are held exclusively for confirmed participants.
- Missed sessions are non-refundable.
- Tickets are fully transferable to another person with prior written notice to Yoga Kawa identifying the new attendee. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
2. Rescheduling
Participants may reschedule a booking subject to the following conditions:
- Deadline: Rescheduling requests must be submitted at least 2 calendar weeks (14 days) before the original session date.
- Fee: Each approved reschedule request is subject to a $15 processing fee per ticket.
- After the deadline: Rescheduling is not available within 14 days of the session. However, tickets remain transferable to another person (see Section 1).
- How to request: Email info@yogakawa.com with your order number, the session you wish to reschedule, and your preferred new date.
3. Late Arrival and No-Shows
Our events run on a fixed schedule to ensure a quality experience for all participants and the welfare of our animals.
- Late arrivals: Participants who arrive after the scheduled start time may be admitted for the remaining duration of the session at the discretion of the event host. No refund, partial refund, or credit will be issued for reduced time.
- No-shows: Participants who do not attend their booked session without prior notice are not eligible for a refund, credit, or reschedule.
4. Pet-Related Events
This section applies to all animal-assisted yoga classes, including puppy yoga, kitten yoga, goat yoga, and bunny yoga, at all locations.
The general policies in Sections 1 through 3 apply in full. In addition:
- The presence, number, breed, and behaviour of animals may vary from session to session and cannot be guaranteed.
- Variations in the animals present do not constitute grounds for a refund or reschedule.
5. Sound Bath Sessions
Sound bath bookings follow the same final sale, rescheduling, late arrival, and no-show policies outlined in Sections 1 through 3.
6. Birthday Parties and Private Events
Birthday parties and private events involve additional coordination, staffing, and venue arrangements. The following terms apply in addition to the general policies in Sections 1 through 3:
- Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your date. The deposit amount will be specified during the booking process.
- Remaining balance: The remaining balance must be paid in full by the deadline communicated at the time of booking.
- Cancellation by the customer: If you cancel a private event or birthday party, the deposit is non-refundable. Any additional payments already made may be refunded at Yoga Kawa’s discretion, depending on how close to the event date the cancellation occurs and whether costs have already been incurred.
- Rescheduling: Private events and birthday parties may be rescheduled at least 3 calendar weeks (21 days) before the event date, subject to availability. No processing fee applies for the first reschedule. Subsequent reschedule requests are subject to a fee at Yoga Kawa’s discretion.
- Headcount changes: Please notify us of any significant changes to your expected headcount at least 7 days before the event. Reductions in headcount may not result in a reduced price if minimum group pricing applies.
7. Gift Cards
- Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Gift cards do not have an expiry date, in accordance with Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
- Lost or stolen gift cards cannot be replaced.
- Gift cards are transferable and may be given to another person.
8. Cancellation by Yoga Kawa (Force Majeure)
In the rare event that Yoga Kawa must cancel or postpone a class or event due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., severe weather, emergencies, public safety concerns, venue issues, or animal welfare considerations), participants will be notified promptly via the email address associated with their booking.
When Yoga Kawa cancels:
- Full refund or reschedule: You will be offered the choice of a full refund (with no processing fee deducted) or a rescheduled date.
- Response deadline: You must respond within 30 days of being notified. If no response is received within 30 days, your booking will be automatically rescheduled to a new date selected by Yoga Kawa.
- Private events and birthday parties: If Yoga Kawa cancels a private event or birthday party, your full payment (including deposit) will be refunded, or the event will be rescheduled to a mutually agreed date at no additional cost.
9. Emergency Refund Requests
In cases of verifiable personal emergencies (e.g., serious illness, hospitalization, bereavement, or significant travel disruptions), Yoga Kawa may review refund requests on a case-by-case basis. To be considered:
- Submit your request by emailing info@yogakawa.com with your order number and a description of the circumstances.
- Supporting documentation may be requested (e.g., medical notes, travel disruption records).
- Requests must be submitted within 90 days of the original purchase or event date.
Processing fee: Any approved emergency refund will have a 5% merchant processing fee deducted from the refund amount. This fee is charged by payment processors at the time of the original transaction and is non-recoverable by Yoga Kawa. This fee does not apply to refunds issued when Yoga Kawa cancels an event (see Section 8).
10. 90-Day Request Deadline
All refund, reschedule, transfer, and dispute requests must be submitted within 90 days of the original purchase or event date. Requests received after this window cannot be accommodated.
11. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are initiated promptly by Yoga Kawa. The time it takes for funds to appear in your account depends on your credit card issuer or payment provider and typically ranges from 5 to 10 business days. Yoga Kawa has no control over these external processing timelines.

12. Disputes and Chargebacks
We ask that participants contact us directly at info@yogakawa.com with any concerns or disputes before initiating a chargeback through your bank or credit card company. In most cases, we can resolve issues quickly and fairly.
Yoga Kawa reserves the right to deny future bookings and pursue recovery in the event of confirmed fraudulent or unfounded chargebacks.
13. How to Submit a Request
All cancellation, refund, reschedule, and transfer requests should be submitted by email:

- The nature of your request (reschedule, transfer, refund, or other)
We aim to respond to all requests within 2 business days.
14. Changes to This Policy
